Claudia Zurek

Claudia Zurek is a native of Colombia and a veteran teacher with two decades of experience in bilingual education in both the United States and South America. Claudia graduated from the University of Colombia with a major in Educational Leadership. She has a post-graduate degree in Second Language Acquisition as well as a Masters in Education. Claudia is the Director of Spanish Education at The Carlthorp School and the creator of Hola Español, a K-7th grade Spanish learning program designed to teach and engage school children. Claudia believes exposing children to a new language and the appreciation of cultural diversity go hand in hand. She believes that learning a second language is one of the best ways to introduce young learners to diversity, inclusion, excellence, and 21st century skills in an age appropriate way.
